In 1990 I started a making a chainmail shirt. It was made of 14 guage galvanized Fence wire wrapped around a 3/8th inch steel rod. I spent my entire sophmore year in high school working on it. By the time I was done it was 37 pounds, it reaches my kness and my elbows. It lives under my couch now and sometimes I take it out and make it a bit bigger. I never wear it anymore.
After that first project I kept trying things using lots of little rings. The rings kept gettting smaller and after a while it stopped being armor and started being jewelry. It's amazing what you can do with a lot of little rings connected together.
I work in Sterling Silver, Bronze, Titanium, Niobium, Copper and other metals. Various stones and beads are used as accents, I particularly like Swarovski Crystals.
It's been a journey of exploration to create everything I make. I try to always be learning to always be trying new things to create beauty.
